MITHALI RAJ RETIRES FROM INT’L CRICKET

New Delhi: Mithali Raj announced her decision to retire from all forms of international cricket on Wednesday. The 39-year-old Mithali is the leading run-scorer in women's ODIs and finished with 7805 runs in the format.

Mithali Raj had made her debut back in June 1999 and retired as one of the most accomplished cricketers for India. She played her last match for India in World Cup against SA. In an emotional note posted on Twitter, Raj said she had given her best for country.

In Tests, she amassed 699 runs, in 12 matches, including a century and 4 half-centuries. And in T20Is, Raj scored 2,364 runs at an average of 37.52 with 17 half-centuries, score of 97 not out.
