Khwaish clinches gold medal in KSS

Shimla: Bringing laurels to Rajasthan, Khwaish Sharma, from Fatehpur in Sikar district claimed gold medal at 25th All India Kumar Surendra Singh Inter School Shooting Championship 2023 in (Air Weapon) events at Adventure Resorts, New Kufri at Shimla on Monday.

Khwaish scored 598, highest score in all the events in both men and women categories. During the national air weapon tournament, there were 2,600 entries from all over the nation. Last week, Khwaish also bagged gold medal in Shekhwati Air Weapon district championship. An elated Khwaish while sharing her golden moment said, "I am grateful for honour but there is still a long way to go. I look forward to winning many more competitions in near future. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the encouragement my coach, Sanjeev Rajput has given me. It truly is an honour to train under him." Coach Sanjeev Rajput said, "She has great potential and will continue to do better ahead. We are expecting much higher goals".
