‘IRS Cricket Cup’ in Goa till January 21

Goa: Senior officers of Income Tax Department will showcase their excellence in the cricket competition from Thursday.

The national cricket competition for IRS officers “IRS Cricket Cup” is being organized in Goa from Thursday which will be inaugurated by Panaji and Goa Chief Income Tax Commissioner Vijay Verma. The special guests of the inauguration ceremony will be Sushil Kumar Madhuk, Principal Director of Income Tax Investigation, Panaji, Sudhanshu Shekhar Jha, Principal Director of Income Tax Investigation, Jaipur and Vipul Phadke, President of Goa Cricket Association and Rohan Desai, Secretary of Goa Cricket Association. 8 teams including Rajasthan will participate in this cricket competition.

The first four matches in the competition will be National Direct Tax Academy vs Pune, East Zone vs North West Region, Delhi vs RajasthanUP and Mumbai vs Bengaluru. The joint team of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh will be captained by PDIT Investigation, Jaipur Sudhanshu Shekhar Jha. Jha is also the president of All India IRS Association.
