IPL betting 2019: CBI conducts searches in Jaipur, Jodhpur

Jodhpur: The CBI is uncovering the layers of betting that took place in the 2019 edition of IPL.

Based on inputs received from Pakistan in two separate cases of alleged match-fixing, the CBI today conducted raids at some places in the country and questioned 7 people including one from Shergarh area of Jodhpur district.

Sources said that the accused Sajjan Singh was not found in Shergarh and a CBI team detained him in Jaipur. It is believed that an inquiry is being conducted into the transfer of Rs 25 lakh in his account.

In Delhi, the CBI has named Dilip Kumar, in Hyderabad Vasu and Satish as accused. In Rajasthan, Sajjan Singh, Prabhu Lal Meena, Ram Avtar and Amit Kumar Sharma have been made accused.

CBI got inputs that transactions worth crores of rupees have taken place in the accounts of many of these people. On the basis of that, these people came under the radar of CBI.
