First leg of RPL begins in Jodhpur; Bollywood rocks opening ceremony

Jodhpur: The inaugural ceremony of much-awaited Rajasthan Premier League (RPL), that commenced on Sunday at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur, was marked by cultural programmes. Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor set the stage alight with her performance of the song ‘Chittiyaan Kalaiyan’. Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez also added star power to event.

Congratulating RCA President Vaibhav Gehlot on organizing RPL, Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Dr. CP Joshi said that sports talents playing in RPL will bring laurels to Rajasthan.

Vaibhav Gehlot said that RPL is being started to give a platform to cricket talents. He said that with the continuous cooperation of state govt.
