XEn in ACB net for taking Rs 4L; constable held with Rs 7,500

Chittorgarh: The ACB Udaipur team arrested PWD XEn RP Lakhara with a bribe of Rs 4 lakh at Dak Bungalow in Chittorgarh on Wednesday. The bribe was sought in lieu of passing the bills of Rs 1 crore. Accused Lakhara had already taken Rs 1.5 lakh as bribe earlier. Lakhara had closed the door of his residence during the ACB action but the team broke open the door. Lakhara tried to escape after the team broke the door.

In another trap in Chittorgarh, the ACB team nabbed constable Mukesh Kumar Meena of Parsoli police station redhanded while accepting a bribe of Rs 7,500.

ACB ASP Kailash Singh Sandu said that the accused constable had sought Rs 15,000 from complainant Gopi Lal Bhil for not arresting him for making country liquor. The accused had taken Rs 5,000 earlier while he was held with Rs 7,500 on Wednesday, said an official.
