Woman allegedly killed for not giving birth to child, 3 booked in murder case

Barmer: On Friday a suspicious case of suicide of woman came into light under RGT police station area in Barmer. On getting informed police reached at the spot and recovered the body. Deceased’s father alleged that his daughter was killed by her in-laws for not giving birth to a child. He also alleged that after killing his daughter, in longing for the child the accused were planning to marry the man for a second time. Police said that woman (now the deceased) got married around ten years ago. Lalit Kishor, station house officer, confirmed the report.

SHO said that on the basis of the complaint, police have lodged the case under section 302 of IPC and booked three persons. Investigation in the case has been initiated and after getting the autopsy done, the body was handed over to the family members.
