Week-long, Lakhi Fair of Lord Mahavir starts

Hindaun City: The annual Lakhi Fair of Lord Mahavir started on Thursday. Lakhs of Jain devotees from across the country will visit the fair, which will conclude on April 25. Various religious and cultural programmes will be held during this time.

The main attraction of the fair will be the Rath Yatra of Lord Mahavir Swami on April 24. A total of 286 CCTV cameras have been installed and 300 police personnel will be deployed for security purposes.

Manager Nemi Kumar Patni inaugurated the fair. There will be flag hoisting, birth anniversary procession, water procession, worship, Jinendra Rath Yatra and Kalashabhishek, etc. in the fair. National Kavi Sammelan will also be organized.
