‘We must adopt latest tech for mining’

Rajsamand: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Mines and Petroleum Veenu Gupta has requested the mine lease holders to strictly follow the safety standards and adopt zero loss mining technology.

Veenu Gupta, who was inspecting the mining sites in Rajsamand and surrounding areas on Friday, also laid stress on environmental protection along with mining activities and to plant more and more saplings.

During her visit, she inspected various soapstone and dolomite mines around Rabcha and Odan villages of Delwara in Rajsamand. “We must adopt latest technology of mining so that valuable minerals can be exploited in the right way and the loss from mining can be kept at the minimum level. The safety standards should be strictly adhered to so that the health of labourers can be ensured,” said ACS Veenu Gupta. During her visit, she also planted saplings along with other officials.
