Vishvendra Singh holds talk with saints, assures solution

Bharatpur: After Baba Haribol warned of selfimmolation in protest against mining in Mewat area, the state government sent Tourism Minister Vishvendra Singh to Bharatpur where a meeting was held with the delegation of saints and administrative officers of Bharatpur at the Divisional Commissioner’s office on Monday. The first round of talks was fruitful.

After the second round of talks, Singh said self-immolation was not a solution to a problem. He said that Kanakachal and Adi Badri Parvat and its adjoining areas of the district will be developed as tourist areas. He said that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot sent him for a positive solution in the matter. “Today’s talks were positive. There will be talks again in 1-2 days,” he said. Radhakant Shastri, a member of the 5-member delegation who came for talks, said that the talks were successful. “We have full faith in the CM. Even in 2009, he declared a large area here as a forest area,” Shastri said. Divisional Commissioner Sonwarmal Verma, IGP, Bharatpur Range Gaurav Srivastava, District Collector Alok Ranjan, SP Shyam Singh, Municipal Commissioner Kamalram Meena, Radhapriya, Vijay Maharaj and Mukesh Sharma were present during the talks.
