Vishvaraj performs Dhuni Darshan amid tight security
Udaipur: The dispute over the coronation rituals in Udaipur’s former royal family has now been resolved. Following the traditional coronation ceremony, Vishvaraj Singh Mewar arrived at City Palace for Dhuni Darshan on Wednesday evening.
Five persons including Vishvaraj Singh Mewar went for the Dhuni Darshan. Police and administrative officials were also present with the group. Security was tightened along the route to City Palace, with barricades set up and a heavy police force deployed.
Earlier, 48 hours after the coronation ritual, Vishvaraj Singh paid his respects to Eklingji, the deity of Mewar rulers, on Wednesday morning.
In Udaipur, he went for darshan of Maa Kalika at Hathipole and left for Samore Bagh. Speaking to media, Vishvaraj Singh Mewar said that darshan of Dhuni was the subject of faith. He took blessings of Kalika Maa and Eklingji to fufill his social responisbility.
He also asked the people for suggestions for the improvement of the Udaipur city.
