VHP stops alleged religious conversion
Bharatpur: A case of religious conversion has come to light in a private hotel in the Atal Bandh police station area of Bharatpur. Activists of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) have alleged that people of the Christian community were involved in conversion through a Satsang. More than 500 women and girls were said to be present there.
After getting the information, VHP workers reached the hotel. Soon there was chaos, and people who were involved in converting started to run away.
The VHP workers, however, caught more than 10 people involved in the act. Meanwhile, there was a fight between the organisers and VHP workers on the conversion issue.
The police reached the spot and detained over five people. Apart from these around five to seven women and girls have also been arrested and are being interrogated.
