UP police accused of seeking Rs 5L to settle a case

Bharatpur: A team of Uttar Pradesh Police reached the residence of an advocate in Kaman area in connection with a case without informing local police.

The advocate alleged that the police team led by Sub Inspector of Jalalpur police station Omprakash Yadav reached his residence and demanded Rs 5 lakh from family members of an accused involved in a fraud case.

He alleged that the police team misbehaved when the family members refused to give the money. At the same time, the police team alleged that the family members manhandled them and obstructed them in discharging duty.
