Udpr murder: Prime witness undergoes brain surgery

Udaipur: Rajkumar Sharma, one of the prime witnesses in Udaipur tailor Kanhaiyalal’s murder case, underwent neurosurgery in MB Hospital in Udaipur after he suffered a brain haemorrhage due to hypertension. Two doctors from Jaipur, Dr Rashim Kataria and Dr Manish Agarwal were sent to Udaipur from SMS Hospital, Jaipur. The operation went on for four hours till Monday late at night. “The next 48 hours are very crucial for the patient. Rajkumar is on ventilator support and is under constant supervision of senior doctors in the Neuro ICU ward. It may take two days for Rajkumar to regain consciousness. If his condition improves, ventilator support will be removed,” said a doctor. Senior officials including Divisional Commissioner Rajendra Bhatt, Collector Tarachand Meena, and SP Vikas Sharma were also present in the hospital during the operation.
