Two-day Millets festival concludes in Jodhpur

Jodhpur: The two-day Millets Conference and Exhibition under the joint aegis of Ministry of Food and Processing Industries, Government of India, New Delhi and Knowledge Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Gujarat concluded at Kajri Complex in Jodhpur on Friday.

Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was present in the programme as the chief guest. Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Prahlad Singh Patel and MoS Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Kailash Chaudhary were present as special guests. Shekhawat said that the Green Revolution was mainly focused on wheat and rice and it reached every household, while earlier millet used to be the main foodgrain in Rajasthan.
