Tigress T-79 cub goes missing in Ranthambore

Sawai Madhopur: The cub of Tigress T-79 of Ranthambore National Park has not been sighted since last four months and has reportedly gone missing. Officials informed the movement of the cub was mostly in the nontourist zone of Phalodi range. The cub’s mother Tigress T-79 was seen in Zone – 10 of the national park, but most of the time the movement of the tigress and the cub remained in the non-tourist area. DFO Mohit Gupta informed that no recent photo of T-79 cub has been captured on the camera trap. “Constant tracking is being done and the forest officials are also continuously monitoring through cameras and other resources,” said Mohit Gupta.
