Those who should have stopped gangrape, are patting their own back: GS Shekhawat

Jodhpur: Union Minister GS Shekhwat held a press conference on district level launching of ‘Nahi Shega Rajasthan’ campaign and cornered State govt in gangrape case in Jodhpur’s university campus. He said that such incidents have no place in society and culprits should be given harshest punishment. “Under govt’s pressure, police associated the accused with a specific political group without any evidence,” he said.

He also questionedcops for incident and attributed it to failure of patrolling system.
“Where were the police when the victim was on the road with his companion for the entire night?, he asked.
