‘They die everyday’, Khandela on Sikar student drowning
Bhilwara: Two days after a 17 year old coaching student drowned in a pit filled with rainwater in Sikar, the Rajasthan Farmers Commission chairman Mahadeo Singh khandela on Monday said that people die every day, sometimes in rivers and sometimes in ponds. The controversial statement was given while responding to a question by a reporter about the incident.
“Ye to roj hi marte hain, kya baat karte ho aap, nadiyon me doob gaye talabon me doob gaye (they die every day, what are you talking about? (People) drowned in rivers-ponds)” he said.
Khandela, a former union minister of state, is an independent MLA from Sikar’s Khandela constituency.
