Tech-based schemes fulfilling dreams of youths: CM Gehlot

Jodhpur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday said that the use of IT in public welfare schemes by the State Government has brought positive changes in the lives of the people. He said that the State Government is moving ahead on the vision of former PM Rajiv Gandhi and the dreams of the youth are being fulfilled through the State Government’s technology - based schemes and startups. “It is our responsibility to provide opportunities to the talent in the state. I am proud of our IT talent. We will fulfill their dreams,” he said while addressing the closing ceremony of Rajasthan Digifest and Job Fair.

At the same time, the foundation stone laying ceremony of Rajiv Gandhi Fintech Digital Institute in Jodhpur’s Government Polytechnic College campus was held on Sunday. He said that the institute would be set up at a cost of Rs.672.45 crore, in which youth including students and startups would get a worldclass platform. Gehlot said that information technology has played an important role in sensitive, transparent and accountable good governance. “The state government is using IT to take the benefits of its schemes to the last person in the row,” he said. On the occasion, the Chief Minister released the Rajasthan Startup Policy-2022 to encourage startups in the State.
