Team carrying Atiq Ahmed stays for 50 mins in Kota

Kota: Gangster-turned politician Atiq Ahmed was brought to the Anantapur Police station in Kota by a team of Uttar Pradesh Police on Wednesday morning. Ahmed was on Tuesday convicted by an MP-MLA court in Prayagraj and sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment in the abduction case of now-deceased Umesh Pal. Atiq Ahmed was taken to Prayagraj from Ahmedabad for a court hearing under tight security. On Tuesday night, he was again taken to Ahmedabad during which he was stopped in Kota on Wednesday morning. The police convoy stopped for 50 minutes at Anantpura Police Station and later left.
