T-102 shifted to Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve

Bundi: The recently notified Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve will soon resound with roars of the big cats as 8-year-old tigress T-102 was shifted to the area on Saturday. The tigress was brought with a convoy of 5 vehicles from Ranthambore. There was huge crowd of locals to see the tigress.

After complete check-up, the tigress was released in an enclosure near Ramgarh Mahal. T-102 is the daughter of tigress T-73 and has become mother only once. The tigress gave birth to four cubs about a year and a half ago. However, a cub later died.

Officials said that the rescue team of Ranthambore reached Aamaghati forest area at around 6.30 am and traced the tigress. After about half an hour, the team got the sighting of the tigress. DFO Ranthambore Sangram Singh and DFO Sanjeev Sharma of Ramgarh Vishdhari, CCF Seduram Yadav of Ranthambore Tiger Reserve reached the spot. The rescue team in-charge Rajveer Singh tranquilized the tigress and Veterinary Officer Dr CP Meena did a health checkup of the tigress. After completing all the formalities, the tigress was kept in a cage by putting radio collar and sent to Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve by road.
