Strong judicial system further enhances democracy, says CM

Jodhpur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said on Monday that many important laws were first implemented in Rajasthan in the country, which are discussed in the entire country. “These include historic decisions like Advocate Protection Bill, Gig Workers Act, Right to Health, Rajasthan Minimum Income Guarantee. It is even being followed by various state governments. The state government is making efforts to expand resources and facilities to further strengthen the justice sector,” Gehlot was addressing the inauguration ceremony of the new building of the Advocate General’s Office in Rajasthan High Court, Jodhpur on Monday.

He said that in the year 2009, Rs 110 crore was sanctioned for the new High Court building. Gehlot unveiled the plaque along with Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court Augustine George Masih and Justice Vijay Bishnoi. Also, the Advocate General inspected chambers & facilities. This building has been completed at a cost of Rs 22.55 cr. Those who played an important role in construction of the building were honoured.
