State govt giving all facilities to widows as per norms: Jasol

Jodhpur: State Sainik Welfare Advisory Committee Chairman Manvendra Singh Jasol on Friday broke his silence over the developments going on for the past several days regarding the case of Pulwama martyrs widows and termed it as a politically motivated incident.

Talking to the media at Circuit House in Jodhpur, Jasol said that according to the rules of the department, there is a provision to give jobs to martyrs widows and their sons and daughters. “But here one protesting widow is demanding a job for her brother-in-law, which is not possible according to the rules. One widow is demanding installation of a third statue of her martyr husband. In the past, two idols have already been installed and in view of the public interest this demand is also not appropriate,” he said. Jasol said that if the widow wants to get a compensatory job for her brother-in-law, then she should contact the Central Govt for that. “Ministry of Home Affairs can give jobs to any family member. For that a demand can be made to the Central Govt through MPs also,” he said.
