Speaker Devnani attends 291st Bharatpur foundation day

Bharatpur: Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, who was on a one-day visit to Bharatpur on the occasion of the 291st foundation day of the district paid tribute to Maharaja Surajmal at the Maharaja Surajmal Memorial. On the occasion, BJP District President Manoj Bhardwaj, Lohagarh Development Council President Gulab, State Minister Girdhari Tiwari, District Collector Amit Yadav, administrative officers and school children were present.

Children were told about the history of Bharatpur, Chief guest Devnani wished everyone and said that Bharatpur Foundation Day programme is being organized for the last 13 years which shows that people are associated with it. He said that everyone should read the life of Maharaja Surajmal. He said that as an Education Minister, he had privilege of including Maharaja Surajmal’s lesson in curriculum. Gulab Batra said that earlier a three-day celebration was done on foundation day of Bharatpur but gradually seven days’ celebrations have begun.
