SI in ACB net for taking bribe of Rs 1 lakh

Jodhpur: The Jodhpur rural team of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) nabbed a sub-inspector of Mahila Thana, Jodhpur rural while taking a bribe of one lakh rupees. Recently, the unit had received complaint that the investigation officer of a case — identified as Girdhari Lal — had demanded 1.50 lakh rupees as bribe for filing a FR in the case against the accused.

It was also claimed that the SI was repeatedly harassing the complainant too. Upon this a verification of the complaint was conducted and a trap was laid during which SI Girdhari Lal was nabbed red handed while accepting a bribe of one lakh rupees. A case has been registered under Prevention of CorruptionAct and further action is being taken in the matter.
