Shekhawat files nomination from Jodhpur Lok Sabha seat

Jodhpur: Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, submitted his nomination papers as the BJP candidate for the Jodhpur Lok Sabha seat after a grand meeting on Saturday in Jodhpur.

Earlier, at Polo Ground in Ratanada on Saturday, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma launched a scathing political attack on the Congress, branding it as the “mother of corruption and terrorism.”

Addressing a big crowd, the CM highlighted the transformative changes brought about by BJP governance, emphasizing developmental strides and welfare schemes under the leadership of late Atal Bihari Vajpayee and PM Narendra Modi.

CM Sharma pledged to secure Shekhawat’s victory by a margin exceeding five lakh votes, lauding his contributions to initiatives like providing tap water to every household and Rajasthan’s progress under the “double engine government.”

He also underscored the fulfillment of promises, including the augmentation of Kisan Samman Nidhi and women’s welfare schemes, accentuating the state’s journey towards self-reliance in water and electricity.
