Set up loan distribution camps at Panchayat level: Birla to bankers

Kota: LS Speaker Om Birla on Thursday said that due to Digital India, the way of banking has become easier across the country and the reach of banks has increased to the villages. In a review meeting with the state heads of the banks working in Rajasthan, the progress of the schemes of the Centre and the banking related works, he emphasized that farmers, livestock farmers, small entrepreneurs, self-help groups, economically weaker sections will have to be provided financial support by giving loans.

While favouring the setting up of loan distribution camps at the Panchayat Samiti level, he said that the banks should target the farmers of Kota-Bundi with the Pashupalak Credit Card scheme by the end of June.
