Second unit of Kalisindh closed due to low quality coal

Jhalawar: The Kalisindh Thermal Power Plant has two units of 600-600 MW which generate 1200 MW electricity. These days, poor quality coal is becoming a hindrance in the power generation in thermal power plant.

When the second unit was closed for maintenance, the power production of first unit also reduced to half. The design of the thermal is of wash quality, due to which there is a direct impact on the power generation. The second unit has been closed due to maintenance and while first unit producing 600 MW, 350 MW is being produced and due to poor quality, the unit is also malfunctioning. The Thermal Administration is hopeful that after getting coal from Kata Basin again, power generation will improve and for this, continuous efforts are being made from Jaipur level.
