Sarpanch, son in ACB net for bribe

Jhalawar: The Jhalawar unit of ACB has arrested the Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Sarda and his broker son red handed while taking a bribe amount of Rs 25,000 on Thursday. They sought bribe for passing the Muster roll of MGNREGA works.

Jhalawar ACB’s Addl SP Jagram Meena said that in lieu of getting the Muster roll passed by the complainant, Sarpanch Radheshyam Mehar sought Rs 56,000 as commission. Addl SP Jagram Meena informed that after verification, the ACB laid a trap and arrested the two. A case has been registered against them under various sections.
