Sant Ratinath Maharaj of Shekhawati laid to rest

Sikar: The last rites of saint Ratinath Maharaj who passed away at the age of 76 were performed at Bau Dham in Sikar’s Laxmangarh on Saturday.

A large number of his devotees as well as public representatives including PCC chief Govind Singh Dotasra and deputy leader of opposition Rajendra Rathore offered tributes to Ratinath at his Ashram.

He took initiation at the age of about 10 years at the Amrit Ashram of Fatehpur after taking guru Diksha from Shubnathji Maharaj. He turned Ratinath from Ramavtar after Diksha and became the revered saint of Shekhawati.

He was born in a simple Brahmin family in Mandawa and got his early education from Mandawa and later from Fatehpur.

During this, he joined Amrit Ashram Fatehpur where he adopted Vairagya.
He earned fame and made international recognition as Bhajan Samrat.

Ratinath Maharaj breathed last in Mumbai. He was the peethadhishwar of Bau Dham. His mortal remains were brought to Jaipur airport on Friday evening by charter plane from where it was brought to Bau Ashram by road late at night.
