Sanskriti Mahotsav kicks off in Bikaner

Bikaner: The 14th edition of Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav started on Saturday at Dr Karni Singh Stadium in Bikaner by the Union Ministry of Culture. President Droupadi Murmu will also participate on February 27, said Union Minister Arjun Meghwal on Saturday.

1,000 artists from across the country will participate in the event from February 25 to March 5. Eight Padma Shri artists will also perform.

The festival is taking forward the concept of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’, said Meghwal. Meghwal while talking to First India News said that Prime Minister Modi has a vision and National Sanskriti Mahotsav will also help in furthering the concept of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ across the country. He said the event is an important moment for Bikaner.

The nine-day cultural extravaganza will see artistes from across India participating in the event, said Kiran Soni Gupta, Director of West Zone Cultural Centre, Udaipur.
