Saint suicide: Pukhraj hands over `5 lakh to family, SIT starts probe

Jalore: The SIT of CID-CB started investigation in the case filed against BJP’s Bhinmal MLA Pooraram Choudhary in Sant Ravinath suicide case near Sundha Mata foothills in Jaswantpura area of Jalore. Pukhraj Parashar, chairman of Redressal of Public Grievances Committee, read the CM Ashok Gehlot’s message in the ashram on Wednesday and handed over financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh on behalf of the Congress Committee. The assistance amount of Rs 6 lakh more will be given soon, he said.

Former Deputy Chief Whip Ratan Devasi, Collector Nishant Jain, SP Harshvardhan Agrawal and other leaders were also present. Meanwhile, BJP’s three-member committee comprising will visit the area on Thursday
