Rs 250 cr to develop Bikaner as smart city

Bikaner: Rajasthan Education Minister Dr BD Kalla on Sunday laid the foundation stone for road widening and drainage work from Museum Circle to Haldiram Pyau in Bikaner. As per the budget announcement for 2021- 22, a total of Rs 18.22 crore will be spent on the development works of this road. During the program, Dr BD Kalla said the four-lane road from Museum Circle to Haldiram Piau, is one of the busiest roads in Bikaner.

“The road will now be broadened to six lanes. The length of this road is 5,210 meters. It will ease the movement of traffic heading towards Jaipur,” said Minister Dr Kalla. “The road widening work will be completed by the December 2022. Bikaner has been chosen for the Smart City project where the works worth around Rs 250 crores will be done as part of the Smart City project. The work of sewerage, drainage and repair of roads would be done on priority,” added Dr BD Kalla.
