Rs 1.5 crore hawala cash recovered in Udaipur; five accused detained

Udaipur: The team of Dhan Mandi and Hathipole police station of the district recovered Rs 1 crore 44 lakh 30 thousand of hawala money and detained five accused in 2 separate ops.

SP Bhuvan Bhushan Yadav said that in view of the upcoming assembly elections, a team has been formed by issuing instructions to all the police station officers and DST in-charge under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Lokendra Dadarwal and CO Chandmal to take action against hawala business.

The first action taken by the team of SHO Dhan Mandi Subodh Jangid seized Rs 1 crore 21 lakh 40 thousand from office of Maha Silver Jewellers on first floor of Karjali House. Lala alias Ashok, Rajendra, Mithun and Rajendra Singh were held.
