Religious conversion allegations spark protest in Bayana, two detained

Bharatpur: A new case of alleged religious conversion has emerged in Bayana town, Bharatpur. On Sunday afternoon, a prayer meeting was being held at a house in Bhim Nagar, where a large number of men & women were gathered. During the meeting, attendees were reportedly encouraged to adopt Christianity and were promised cures for various ailments, with some even being offered monetary incentives.

Members of local Hindu organizations objected and staged a protest. They also alerted the police and local administration officials. Bayana CO Amar Singh, SHO Balram Yadav, and SDM Rajiv Sharma reached the spot. Two persons have been detained for questioning on allegations of religious conversion.
