R’bore: Critically ill Tigress T-84 treated by a team of experts

Ranthambore: The critically ill tigress, T-84 aka Arrowhead, at Ranthambore, has finally received medical attention after suffering from lameness and recurrent wounds for the past three months. Upon the recommendation of veterinary specialists from various renowned institutes, including Dehradun’s Wildlife Institute of India, Jabalpur’s AVV Vets, and the expertise of Dr. Arvind Mathur, Dr. Y.P. Singh, and Dr. C.P. Meena, Chief Wildlife Warden Pawan Upadhyay authorized the tranquilization and treatment of the tigress.

T-84 in Ranthambore was tranquilized and treated under Anoop Kumar’s supervision. Veterinary Board established for oversight. Following NTCA protocols, T-84 underwent treatment, with samples sent to IVRI Bareilly.

Initial X-rays suggested a bone tumor, requiring conservative treatment.

After revival, T-84 was released for observation with her cubs, under 24-hour monitoring, with tourist restrictions for her recovery.
