Raj tops in universal health coverage: CM

Pali: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot laid the foundation stone of 19 Government Nursing Colleges at the state level program in Pali on Tuesday. Along with this, he also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development works worth `350.50 cr in Pali district. Addressing the function, Gehlot said that the state government is working with commitment for the all-round development of the state. “The state government is establishing new dimensions of development in various sectors including road, water, electricity, education, agriculture, medicine, social security. In this sequence, the foundation stone of 19 Government Nursing Colleges has been laid. After their construction, the nursing students passing out from the colleges will provide better health services in the state,” Gehlot said.

During this, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot conducted virtual foundation laying of nursing colleges at Barmer, Banswara, Kumher (Bharatpur), Bhilwara, Lalsot (Dausa), Dholpur, Dungarpur, Hanumangarh, Jalore, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Nagaur, Nathdwara (Rajsamand), Pratapgarh, Sikar, Sirohi and Tonk Nursing, while conducting bhoomi-pujan of colleges in Pali and Chittorgarh. Pali-Jodhpur’s important role in the industrialisation of the state Gehlot said that his government has always given importance to the Pali-Jodhpur region. “There has also been a longstanding effort to develop these two cities as ‘Twin Cities’. Efforts are also being made to solve the drinking water problem in Pali city on priority. The third phase of Rajiv Gandhi Lift Canal has also been started by our government, the benefit of which will be given to Pali district soon. Major part of DelhiMumbai freight corridor passing through the state passes through Alwar, Jaipur, Ajmer, Bhilwara and Pali. Due to our efforts in the last term, Jodhpur via Rohat from Marwar Junction was also connected with this project. Industrial areas are now being developed on a large scale in this area. In the coming time, the Marwar Junction-Rohat-Jodhpur node of the Delhi-Mumbai Freight Corridor will be rejuvenated and this area will play an important role in the industrialisation of the state. Due to the coming of the refinery near this area, employment will get a boost,” Gehlot said.
