Raj folk artist Dayaram & team perform in Akashvani’s ‘Maati Ke Rang’ event

New Delhi: Internationally renowned folk artist Dayaram Bhand and his team from Nagaur district of Rajasthan and his team performed captivating programmes for about one and a half hours and spread the magic of Rajasthani music in the ‘Maati Ke Rang’ cultural evening organised by Akashvani at Rang Bhavan of Akashvani Bhawan situated at Patel Chowk, New Delhi.

The audience was mesmerised by the brilliant performances presented one after another by Dayaram Bhand, who has been awarded many awards and honours like the Youth Award of the Ministry of Culture and Bismillah Khan Award.

International folk artist Dayaram Bhand enthralled the audience with popular Rajasthani songs like ‘Padhaaro Mhare Desh Ne...’ and ‘Mimbudda.. Nimbuda’. The accompaniment of fellow artists on harmonium, sarangi, tabla, dholak, khadtal and jhanjhar was also worth watching.

In the beginning, Union Minister Thakur, Prasar Bharati Chairman Navneet Kumar Sehgal and Director General of All India Radio Dr. Pragya Paliwal Gaur along with other guests inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.

The announcer of Akashvani won everyone’s heart with his effective stage management. This program was broadcast on the YouTube live channel of Akashvani and its recording was also done by Doordarshan.
