Rahul-Gehlot give tribals the biggest gift yet!

Dungarpur: MP Rahul Gandhi and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Monday gave a big gift to the common man by laying the foundation stone of high level bridge at Beneshwar Dham, which is called Prayag of tribals. Beneshwar Dham situated at the confluence of Mahi, Jakham and Som rivers is known for the five-day fair famous for religious, social and cultural activities. In monsoon, the roads leading to the Dham get submerged due to the rise in water level, which turns the Dham into an island. Because of this, devotees are able to go to the Dham by boat and many devotees get stuck in the Dham itself. To solve this problem, the Chief Minister had announced the construction of a high level bridge in the budget announcement for the year 2021-22. Through this high level bridge to be built with an amount of 132.35 crore, devotees will be able to reach Beneshwar Dham directly from Dungarpur-Banswara road and traffic will be possible throughout the year.

During the foundation stone laying, the officials of the Public Works Department gave detailed information about the bridge to senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Ashok Gehlot through the model. The length of this bridge from Sabala to Banswara will be 1345 meters and the length of the bridge from Bhatwara to Beneshwar will be 386.50 meters. This bridge will be built on 36 pillars at a height of 18.50 meters from the surface of the river and its width will be 16 meters. Crashbarriers, footpaths and railings will also be built along the road in the bridge.

Addressing the gathering on the ocassion, Rahul said that the Congress has an old and deep relationship with the tribals. He said that BJP works to suppress, erase and crush history.

On Monday, Rahul Gandhi laid the foundation stone of Beneshwardham High Level Bridge and had darshan at Beneshwar Dham. Extending congratulations on Buddha Purnima, he said that to give the tribals their rights, Congress had brought the forest and land related laws.

He said the Congress works to unite the country and people, while the BJP divides. “Congress helps the weak and BJP on the other hand works for capitalists. Congress govt of Rajasthan has worked for the poor and tribals and as a result of that, foundation stone is being laid today for the high level bridge to be built at Beneshwar Dham at a cost of Rs 132 crores,” he said and congratulated Rajasthan for good work in the field of health and medicine and said that there is a system to make free treatment up to 10 lakhs and English medium schools have been opened, which will help the poor children.
