Puri criticises Gehlot for delaying Barmer refinery project
Jodhpur: Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Puri reached Jodhpur on Monday and was welcomed by BJP leaders and workers. During an interaction with journalists at the airport about the refinery project in Barmer, Puri took a dig at the Ashok Gehlot government for delaying it.
He said, “The Central government has 75 percent participation in the refinery project, while the state government has 25% participation.”
The minister said that the work of the refinery in Barmer started in 2013 but the pace of work slowed down due to the pandemic and other reasons. He said that he would visit the project site and inspect work. He said that the project should be completed as soon as possible by the state government so that employment opportunities are generated.A large number of BJP workers, including BJP leader Atul Bhansali was also present.
