Progress of girl students helps in building new India: Governor

Kota: Appreciating girl students performing well in academics, Governor Kalraj Mishra on Monday said it is a good sign that when women take the lead and play their role, positivity resides in society and country and no one can stop the progress there.

Speaking at the sixth convocation ceremony of the agriculture university in Kota, the governor said the progress of girl students is a good sign in the direction of building a new India.

In the ceremony, 23 students were awarded gold medals in which, 14 were girl students.
“In almost all the universities where I am going for the convocation ceremony, the number of gold medalists is very high among girl students. In some cases, it is even 85- 90%,” he said.

He also stressed promoting cow-based agriculture and organic farming. The governor said that chemical farming has caused a lot of damage to the fertility of the soil.

Apart from this, there is a need to promote cow-based agriculture and organic farming in the state.
“With this, along with quality food and healthy life, protection of soil and environment will also be ensured,” he said adding that due to the efforts of India, the discussion on coarse grains has started in the whole world.
