Probe begins into siphoning off MGNREGA funds in Nagaur

Nagaur: The high-level inquiry committee formed to investigate the irregularities in the work done under MGNREGA has started its work. 

The committee was formed on the directions of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Ramesh Chand Meena. Meena had recently visited Nagaur and found irregularities in the Fund Transfer Order (FTO). 

Panchayati Raj Minister Ramesh Chand Meena said that crores of rupees have been siphoned off under the MGNREGA scheme in Nagaur district and investigation of irregularities has started in 14 blocks.
