Pradhan accuses Chaudhary of kidnapping

Barmer: A woman leader, also Pradhan at Panchayat Samiti Patodi in Rajasthan’s Barmer district, and her husband have levelled serious allegations on the senior Congress leader and former revenue minister Harish Chaudhary for harassing, threatening and kidnapping. However, Chaudhary, who is also AICC in-charge of Punjab, has denied the allegations saying that he has nothing to do with the matter.

It mentioned here that for some time BJP and Congress are up in arms over the Pradhan seat at Patodi Panchayat Samiti.

On June 14, BJP members brought a no-confidence motion against Mamta Prajapat and later the matter reached the high court which ordered voting on no-confidence motion on July 21. Meanwhile, fearing from cross-voting, ahead of voting day, both parties have shifted their candidates to undisclosed isolated locations.

Meanwhile, on the basis of a complaint, a team from the National Women Commission reached Barmer to investigate the matter. They are probing the forceful abduction of a woman leader. The complaint was lodged by the woman leader’s sons alleging that their mother had been forcefully abducted and Rajasthan police in not taking any action in the matter.
