Police Univ should use AI in criminal probes: Guv
Jodhpur: Governor Kalraj Mishra, while addressing the third convocation of Sardar Patel Police, Security and Criminal Justice University located in Jodhpur, said that the university should make positive use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in crime research. He called upon the university to work as a ‘think-tank’ for crime prevention, do excellent research in various disciplines related to criminology and work for effective police education.
Mishra said that the university named after the Iron Man must tread his path and provide a strong police system. “Students here should contribute in fulfilling the goal of a ‘Developed India’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said.
Mishra said that cybercrime is increasing. “Criminals have started using technology and ‘smart policing’ is the need of the hour. Police University will have to make its courses useful and updated. It will have to make research in the fields of policing, internal security, cyber security, forensic science, etc.,” he said.
