Police still clueless about 2 women held for theft, 3 suspended

Barmer: Even after passing over 24 hours, Barmer police are still clueless about the two women prisoners who had escaped from police custody late on Tuesday night. Three police personnel, one head constable, and two constables have been suspended in this case for negligence.

Nitesh Arya, additional superintendent of police at Balotra in Barmer confirmed the report. Arya said that he had been handed over the probe and teams have been formed to nab the accused. He claimed that soon they will trace them. It mentioned here that two women were successful in escaping from police custody late on Tuesday night. An incident had been reported from the Jasol police station area in Barmer. Both the women, suspected in the theft case, were caught by the Jasol police. Police had arrested them under section 151 of CRPC and on Tuesday night, both the women were in police custody. At around 3.30 am, when the police staff was sleeping, taking advantage of the dark both the women escaped by jumping over the wall.
