PM MODI’S GUJ TRIP TO IMPACT NEIGHBOURING RAJ AREAS TOO

Jaipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of poll-bound Gujarat. However, his visit would have an impact on over half a dozen districts of neighbouring Rajasthan too. Besides, Modi will cover a distance of 18-km inside Rajasthan to reach Abu Road airstrip before flying to New Delhi. BJP welcomed PM Modi at Abu Road in Sirohi district bordering Gujarat around 7pm on Friday. Sirohi’s adjoining districts, including Udaipur, Banswara, Dungarpur and Jalore, have a strong Gujarat connection. The main reason for this is that a large population of these districts frequents or lives in Gujarat for education or employment. Moreover, Abu Road where PM Modi will reach this evening has a sizable tribal population. The message of PM’s Gujarat trip is sure to percolate to parts of Rajasthan too. The subtle message is also a beginning for Rajasthan politics which is bound to heat up before it goes to polls next year. This assumes significance in the light of the recent dramatic development within the Rajasthan Congress. BJP would surely want to avenge its defeat in the state and win with a huge majority
