Payal Rohatgi appears before court in Bundi

Bundi: Film actress Payal Rohatgi appeared before a local court in Bundi on Monday in connection with a 4 year old case of objectionable comments on Nehru-Gandhi family.

The actress had been avoiding appearing in the court ever since she was granted bail after being in jail for one day in December 2019.

Rohatgi, accompanied by her husband Sangram Singh, reached Bundi on Monday morning and appeared before the court without a counselor claiming she did not have any lawyer in Bundi. After hearing, the matter was posted for next hearing on July 10. Rohatgi on September 21,2019 had uploaded a video on social media wherein she made objectionable and defamatory remarks on Nehru - Gandhi family following which a local Congress leader Charmesh Sharma lodged a case in Bundi Sadar police station on October 10,2019.
