Pakistani panther tamed by forest dept
Jodhpur: A panther that crossed the Indo-Pak border and entered Indian territory for hunting was brought to Jodhpur by a forest department team. Initially the panther will be kept in Machia Biological Park of Jodhpur before being released at a suitable place as per the rules.
The dreaded panther had come to Jaisalmer from Pakistan and started hunting goats. When the villagers came to know about this, they immediately informed the forest department. The forest department team led by Jodhpur Forest Officer Bansilal tranquilized the panther and brought to Jodhpur. Officials said that the captured panther is a 4-year-old male. He had covered a distance of 12 kms inside India after crossing the border.
