Over 250 artistes set to make waves as RIFF begins

Jodhpur: The 13th edition of the Rajasthan International Folk Festival (Jodhpur RIFF), dedicated to folk music and artistes, began on Thursday. The RIFF was inaugurated this morning with a Bal Mela at Veer Durgadas Memorial Park Masuria hill. It was accompanied by performances by folk artists. About 250 artistes from India and abroad will perform in this five-day riff organised by the Mehrangarh Museum Trust. Opening City Concert was organised at Jaswant thada. In the programme organised at Veer Durgadas Memorial Park Masuria hill, folk artists performed dance on Bahurupiya style, Ghoomar, Pabuji ki Phad, Kutchi Ghodi, Chhatar Kotla and Chang ki Thap along with excellent folk dance. Various school children of Jodhpur participated in this event. Director of Jodhpur RIFF, Divya Bhatia said that many famous musicians and artists of the world will perform their art in the festival.
