Oppn tactics expose their frustration: Shekhawat
Jodhpur: Union Minister for Culture & Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, once again targeted opposition parties questioning the electoral process. He said that the opposition’s face is different and their character is different, and this is once again becoming evident to the people of the country.
Speaking to the media at the airport on Saturday during his visit to his parliamentary constituency, Shekhawat said, “Those who have been rejected by the people in this democratic system are now expressing their frustration in this manner. However, the people of the country have recognized their tactics. Today, India’s democracy is over 75 years old. The very Constitution that they protest against or vow to protect, is the same one whose procedures for running the democratic system they reject and deny.” Regarding Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to the Border Security Force (BSF) Foundation Day event, he said, “It is a matter of great pride for us that the Home Minister himself is attending the BSF Foundation Day event here. Earlier, this event used to be held only in Delhi, but after formation of Modi’s government, inspired by the Prime Minister, it was decided to host these events in different locations. This event was held in Jaisalmer two years ago, and this time it is being hosted in Jodhpur.”
